The Okta Sales Team

Okta aims to enable safe technology use by providing a secure, enterprise-grade platform that secures billions of log-ins annually. As an Okta AE, you will drive growth through new logos and by nurturing existing customers, supported by your Okta ecosystem. Your focus will be on consistent results and customer success.

The Emerging Sales Account Executive Opportunity

Our Small Business Sales Team manages sales for smaller business clients through presentations, site visits, and demos. They represent Okta professionally to develop new and existing client relationships.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self-driven, passionate about security, and dedicated to protecting against identity threats.

As an Okta AE, your goal is to provide value to C-Suite decision makers, ensuring a secure environment for their workforce. You will focus on territory growth via new logos and expanding current accounts.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  1. Develop a vision and plan for long-term pipeline growth
  2. Meet revenue targets supporting year-over-year growth
  3. Strategize to generate pipeline, create opportunities, and achieve bookings
  4. Engage with decision makers in prospect accounts
  5. Negotiate and close agreements to exceed revenue quotas
  6. Leverage partners to find new opportunities
  7. Build effective internal and external partnerships
  8. Use a value-based sales approach
  9. Travel as needed to build relationships
What You’ll Bring:
  1. At least 2 years of success in selling complex SaaS products
  2. Experience engaging with C-level executives
  3. Ability to navigate complex sales cycles
  4. Proven success in selling to C-suite and building stakeholder buy-in
  5. Experience with GSI and partner ecosystems
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  7. Self-driven with team collaboration skills
  8. Familiarity with sales frameworks like MEDDICC (preferably MEDDPICC)

The annual OTE range for candidates in CA, CO, NY, and WA is $100,000—$150,000 USD, inclusive of base salary and incentives. Additional benefits include equity, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), FSA, paid leave, and more. Learn more at https://rewards.okta.com/us.
