The SmartStart Teacher will provide academic and social emotional learning to students (1st- 5th grade). You will be responsible for guiding and assisting students with homework completion and monitoring academic progress in the core subjects of language arts, math, and science. Daily functions include lesson planning and implementing engaging hands‑on activities, assisting the director and coordinator in after-school programming implementation and structure, supervising students, and communicating with parents and schools.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The building environment may not provide air conditioning and heat in all areas. Outdoor work is expected in some cases.
