We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for our SMART Products team in the Pulp and Paper Automation business. SMART products include specialty analyzers and control devices for wood pulp and paper manufacturing. The preferred location is in the Southeast or Northwest US, but the location is flexible.

In this role, you will perform project and service-related work, including installing, commissioning, starting up systems, providing Lifecycle Support, responding to customer inquiries, and being a subject matter expert for SMART Products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction for SMART products in North America.
  • Collaborating with team members to address technical issues promptly.
  • Providing regular project and service updates to customers.
  • Preparing technical reports based on project scope or service status.
  • Completing all service work per company policies and procedures.
  • Participating in training to stay updated on new products and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in electronics, engineering, mechatronics, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in customer service or technical support roles.
  • Knowledge of pulp and paper manufacturing processes (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical info to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience with instrumentation and electrification, including installation and repair.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across North America.
