Job summary

Covestro in Wilmington, DE, invites motivated engineering students to join as Engineering Interns for Summer 2027. You will help optimize manufacturing processes, perform data analysis, and support small improvement projects, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, have completed freshman year, and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A GPA of 3.0+ is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program May 2027–August 2027.
• Major options: Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Must have completed freshman year.
• GPA 3.0+ strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist analysis, design, and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Support implementation and testing of process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process issues and develop corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain documentation including P&IDs and SOPs.
• Collect and analyze data to support process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in integration and optimization of DCS controls (programming, testing, monitoring).
• Participate in safety audits and maintain a safe work environment.
