Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, invites an experienced Design Release Engineer to own end-to-end development of smart lighting modules for Stellantis. You will translate styling themes into functional, manufacturable modules while coordinating with PDO, Body Engineering and PASD teams.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive lighting hardware and expertise in CAD/PLM tools, DFMEA/DVP&R, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or Optical Engineering.
• 3+ years in automotive engineering development, focusing on lighting systems or related tech.
• Experience with design-for-manufacturing and regulatory lighting standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and packaging of smart lighting modules for automotive use.
• Coordinate with PDO/Studio, Body Engineering and PASD for integration.
• Own data lifecycle in PLM, manage CAD data and release docs (NX/CATIA, Teamcenter).
• Develop and apply DFMEA and DVP&R, plus physical and virtual validation.
• Lead supplier engineering activities and support SOR development.
• Diagnose and root-cause issues during vehicle builds and launches.
