Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking Field Service Professionals to install, service, and troubleshoot cutting-edge smart home technology in customer homes. This is a technician position paid on a piece-rate basis with a range of $180–$350 per install (as of 10/8/2026), or paid applicable minimum wage, whichever is higher.

You will become an expert on smart home products, manage inventory, and explain detailed system capabilities and instructions to customers.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude in home installation or related fields is helpful but not required.
• Requirements: valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation; must live within a 20-mile radius of the city.

• Explain and provide detailed system capabilities and operational instructions to customers.
