Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a field-based installer/sales associate to power home intelligence through expert installation and service of smart home technology. You will train on leading products and manage inventory while guiding customers to appropriate solutions at their homes.

The role emphasizes a sales-minded, customer-first attitude with a focus on integrity and reliability, operating within a 20-mile radius of your city to serve residential customers.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a major plus.
• Ability to act with integrity while building rapport with diverse customers.
• Technical aptitude in home tech installations (cable/satellite, solar, etc.) is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Earn piece rate pay and enjoy an unlimited commission plan.
• Become an expert on smart home technology by training on industry-leading products.
• Manage inventory and assets with a business owner mentality.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot smart home technology in customer homes.
• Create solutions to protect and simplify customers’ lives.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inventory of company products and equipment.
• Explain system capabilities and instructions to customers.
• Leverage appointments into leads and revenue.
