Job summary

Smart Homz is seeking field technicians to install, service, configure, and troubleshoot home theater, A/V distribution, home networking, security systems, and Smart Home systems across New Jersey, with an immediate need in Ocean/Atlantic County and willingness to travel to Monmouth as needed.

The role involves working on residential projects, documenting tasks, adhering to safety, and providing excellent customer service while using hand and power tools to install and service systems on road

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience in home networking, A/V or CCTV preferred (1 year).
• Comfort with residential construction and basic electrical theory.
• Strong documentation and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, configure and troubleshoot home theater, A/V distribution, and smart home systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot home networking and CCTV installations.
• Document tasks clearly for customers and records.
• Travel to sites across NJ and adjacent counties as needed.
• Work safely using hand and power tools on residential jobs.

Smart Homz is a rapidly growing Home Tech company and is seeking field technicians. Full‑time opportunities throughout NJ, with an immediate need in Ocean/Atlantic County (willing to commute to Monmouth on an as needed basis). We are looking for motivated individuals to install, service, configure, and troubleshoot home theater, A/V distribution, home networking, security systems, and Smart Home systems in both new and existing construction projects.

• Have the desire and willingness to acquire the skills and knowledge in this new and exciting field.

Experience

• Clean Driving Record: 5 years (Required)
• Installation or servicing of Home Networking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Installation or servicing of Audio Video systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Installation or servicing of CCTV systems: 1 year (Preferred)

Education

High school or equivalent (Required).

License / Certification

Driver’s License (Required).

Work Location

On the road.

Compensation

Salary: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. Bonus pay and commission pay available.

Schedule

Monday to Friday.
