Job summary

Siemens is offering a Smart Buildings Fire & Life Safety Sales Internship at the Salt Lake City area office for Summer 2027. The program is 10 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week), with start dates in May or June.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in sales, CRM management, and cross-functional collaboration to support building automation and fire/life safety solutions. Qualified undergraduates in relevant engineering or business fields will work with Sales teams, learn go-to-market strategies,

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a 4-year U.S. college or university.
• Majors include Mechanical Eng, Electrical Eng, Industrial Eng, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration.
• Earliest Graduation Date: May 2028.
• Availability: 40 hours/week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Relocation: No relocation assistance or housing stipend provided; must work at the branch office location.
• Work authorization: Must be legally allowed to work in the United States without sponsorship (no visa options).

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Sales Managers and Sales Executives within the local branch office.
• Assist the sales team with lead generation, prospecting, and account outreach.
• Support the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and reports.
• Help manage CRM data by tracking leads and maintaining data accuracy.
• Shadow sales calls and meetings to learn sales techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer engagement.
• Analyze sales performance data and provide growth insights.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve sales processes.
• Rotate through core business segments: Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security, Energy/Sustainability Systems.
