Job summary

The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising is looking for an Electrical Engineer in Kansas City, Missouri. This full-time position involves evaluating low voltage technology systems, preparing construction documents, and understanding ICT and security systems. In the role of ICT/Security Designer, we'll count on you to:

• Evaluate and apply state-of-the-art low voltage technology systems, techniques, procedures, designs and modifications
• Understand ICT systems, including communications structured cabling, outside plant systems and fiber-optic systems
• Understand Security systems, including, video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems
• Assist in preparation construction documents and specifications
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT, PSP, and/or RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) certification is helpful

Familiarity with MS Visio, Autodesk, and Bluebeam Revu.
