We’re building more than infrastructure; we are building your future.**General Summary**This position is responsible for assisting the small tools department manager/administrator with field support, inventory control, delivery, documentation, invoices, inside sales and customer service to ensure an efficient and productive operation.**Essential Job Accountabilities*** Perform periodic maintenance on small tools equipment to ensure tools are in good operating order before delivery to jobs.* Coordinate mechanical support for the field when necessary to mitigate potential down time of small tools equipment.* Maintains inventory levels, orders materials and performs all shipping and receiving functions to ensure stock levels meet business demands in a cost effective manner.* Coordinates delivery of materials and tools to the field in a cost effective and efficient manner to meet project schedules.* Communicates daily with manager and maintains records and invoices on parts to assist in the proper coordination of construction schedules.* Develop and maintain good relationships with Granite suppliers to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.* Facilitate a safety first attitude in all work to ensure Company safety standards are met.* Depending on location provide pick-up and delivery service of tools and supplies and inspect all vehicles to ensure timely and safe delivery.**Education*** High School Diploma.**Work Experience*** 0-3 years progressive experience in small tools environment preferred**Knowledge, skills, and abilities*** Working knowledge of parts management, inventory control, and material ordering within a construction environment* Experience performing basic electrical repairs, including replacing wiring and lighting components* Welding experience preferred* Ability to perform mechanical repairs such as replacing wheel bearings* Experience troubleshooting and repairing small engines* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.* The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.* The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**Additional Requirements/Skills*** Ability to abide by Granite’s code of conduct on a daily basis* A team player.**Our Benefits at a Glance:**Building tomorrow starts with you, and Granite knows that you can excel only if we support you in and out of the workplace.
