Job summary

Small Potato Trucking is seeking drivers for a rescue lane role in which selected drivers will lend help when there are not enough drivers to pull the lane. The position offers $40.00 per hour straight, with 50 hours per week guaranteed.

Freight is a mix of no-touch, driver assist, and tarping. Hazmat endorsement is required or candidates can be assisted to obtain it. Forklift operation skills are beneficial, and drivers must meet CDL-A and DOT medical requirements.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug test.
• Clean driving record with no more than 2 accidents/violations within the last 3 years.
• Verifiable and recent trailer driving experience with a good record of employment and driving according to the type of driver, either experienced or graduate.
• Drivers must be at least 21 years old; have a valid CDL-A license and a current DOT medical card.
• Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Provide rescue lane support when driver shortages occur.
• Operate freight with no-touch, driver assist and tarping as needed.
• Maintain safety and compliance on all trips.

Drivers are expected to have Hazmat endorsement, if they do not have it, we can help.-

Drivers should be able to use a forklift or be willing to be trained in their use
