Job summary

Highland Park United Methodist Church is seeking a Groups Coordinator to cultivate community through small groups, with emphasis on successful launch events. The role involves data management in TouchPoint, coordination with clergy and staff, and supporting the Pastor of Connections and Community in guiding people into community.

Reports to the Pastor of Connections and Community; full-time position with 36+ hours a week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ministry experience (as volunteer or staff member).
• Self-motivated and strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Accepts constructive criticism and applies feedback.
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute church-wide small group launch events each spring and fall.
• Manage registrations for Small Group Launches.
• Coordinate logistics for launch events, including scheduling, space setup, materials, and volunteer support.
• Collaborate with ministry staff to align small group offerings with the demographic needs and goals of the church.
