Job summary

Lotus Learning Group in New Jersey seeks a part-time Content Area Teacher (English, Science, or Math) to provide individualized instruction in a small, supportive setting. NJ certification is required, with emphasis on 1:1 and small group instruction to help students succeed.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:15–2:30 with 1/2 lunch. Hourly pay ranges from $42–$46, depending on experience and certification. This role may lead to full-time for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• NJ Teaching certification in the content area you are applying for: CE, CEAS, Standard
• Experience in classroom instruction and adapting to individual learning needs
• Ability to develop lesson plans and activities for diverse learners

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans, assignments and activities that reflect individual needs and objectives
• Establish routines to maximize learning time and maintain a conducive learning environment
• Utilize appropriate curricula and behavioral techniques
• Complete required paperwork in a timely, professional manner
• Supervise students in the classroom
