Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday

Job Overview

S&S Directional Drilling Inc is hiring an experienced Small Equipment Operator to support our underground utility installations. In this role, you'll be responsible for safely operating mini excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and other compact machinery used on commercial and industrial job sites. Key Responsibilities

• Operate compact construction equipment, including mini excavators, skid steers, micro-trenchers, and directional drills, on underground utility job sites
• Assist with trenching, digging, backfilling, grading, and clean-up tasks as needed
• Load and unload materials and equipment at job sites
• Conduct daily inspections and minor maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety procedures at all times
• Collaborate with crew members and follow instructions from the site foreman or supervisor
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage
• Participate in travel-based projects as required
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating small construction equipment (mini excavators, skid steers, etc.)
• Prior experience in underground utilities, directional drilling, micro trenching, civil, general construction, or site work is highly beneficial
• Strong awareness of job site safety and situational hazards
• Physically fit to perform labor-intensive tasks (lifting 50+lbs, bending, digging, trench work)
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and perform physically demanding labor
• Reliable, punctual,safety-oriented, and team-oriented
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, bilingual in spanish is a plus
• Valid driver's license preferred, CDL is a benefit

• Work hours may vary by project. Travel is required based on project location and scope.

• Based in Corona, CA + Various Project Sites in Regional Areas (travel required for some projects).
• Upcoming Projects in the Escondido and San Diego areas.
