Job summary

Tri-State Bobcat is hiring a Small Engine Technician in Little Canada, MN, on a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with no evenings or weekends.

You'll diagnose and repair a variety of small engines, perform preventative maintenance, and use diagnostic tools and computer systems. A strong mechanical background and experience with outdoor power equipment are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair or equipment repair.
• Experience with Bobcat, Toro, STIHL or similar equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using computers and diagnostic technology.
• Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks in a service environment.
• Complete set of tools; eligible for our Tool Allowance Program.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of small engines.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment testing.
• Use diagnostic tools and computer systems to identify repair needs.
• Work with the parts department to obtain parts needed for repairs.
• Document work orders, parts, labor, and repair findings accurately.
• Communicate job progress with the Service Manager and help ensure quality customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Attend company-paid manufacturer training, including occasional out-of-state training.
