Job summary

L&M Fleet Supply in Park Rapids, MN is seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to service and repair motorized equipment. You’ll work with customers to understand needs, identify products, and install them on their machines.

Duties include inspection, troubleshooting, part replacement, keeping service records, answering inquiries, and providing cost estimates and care advice. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm; starting pay range is $15–$18/hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine maintenance or repair preferred.
• Strong customer-service skills and ability to understand client needs.
• Willingness to work with customers to identify products and services.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining motorized 2-stroke and 4-stroke equipment.
• Inspecting equipment, troubleshooting problems and replacing parts.
• Maintaining service records and outlining cost estimates for clients.

Our Perfect Match:

We are looking to hire a highly-skilled small engine technician to maintain and service customers' motorized equipment. You will also work directly with customers to understand their needs, identify the right products/services, and install them on their equipment. Previous experience and/or knowledge in small engine maintenance & customer service is preferred.

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Hours

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Targeted Pay Range: $15-18 per hour.

(Starting rate of pay varies based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.)

What you'll do in this role:

Our Small Engine Technicians specialize in repairing and maintaining the machinery of motorized 2-stroke and 4-stroke equipment. Duties include inspecting the equipment, troubleshooting problems, replacing or fixing parts, maintaining records, and referring clients to other services when necessary. They may also answer client inquiries, discuss damages and cost-estimates, and provide machine care advice to customers.
