Lanoha Nurseries, Inc. in Omaha seeks a mechanic to maintain and repair outdoor power equipment, mowers, and shop tools.

Minimum 2 years of professional mechanic experience required; you will handle diagnostics and on-site repairs across four seasons of Nebraska weather. Candidates should be proficient with engines (4-cycle v-twin and single-cylinder), electrical and hydraulic systems, carry a valid driver’s license, own basic hand tools, and thrive in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a professional mechanic.
• Proficient knowledge of 4-cycle v-twin and single-cylinder engines.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulic drive systems found in outdoor power equipment.
• Ability to work outside for job site repairs in 4 seasons of NE weather conditions.
• Team mentality and ability to multitask.
• Safe lifting techniques and use of lifting resources.
• Possession of own hand tools and tool storage.
• Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Mechanic maintenance and repair of outdoor power equipment including commercial mowers and utility vehicles.
• Diagnostics and repairs for varieties of commercial mowers.
• Diagnostics and repairs on outdoor equipment including chainsaws, demo saws, cut off saws, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and air compressors.
• Diagnostics and repairs on UTVs and golf carts.
• Shop and job-site repairs.
• Team mentality – cross collaboration and prioritization and divisional leadership.
• Safe operation of shop equipment and tools; overall safety awareness for self and team.
• Inventory and equipment check out process support for tools, parts and equipment.
• Campus fuel station assistance for employees and fuel deliveries.
