Job summary

Trinity Employment Specialists in Tulsa, OK is seeking a mechanically skilled Mechanic for an FAA-approved repair station. Aircraft engine experience preferred, automotive background accepted; strong diagnostic abilities and attention to detail required. You must provide own tools and pass FAA drug testing; training is available for those transitioning to aircraft repair.

Location is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Pay is $18–$23 per hour, DOE.

• Automotive mechanic experience will be considered
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Must have your own mechanic tools
• FAA drug test, required for employment

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and overhaul piston engines
• Work with V-type, radial, and horizontally opposed engines
• Perform mechanical work on a variety of aircraft and aircraft components
• Work on warbird aircraft including fighters, trainers, bombers, transports, utility aircraft, and jets
• Perform mechanical work on helicopters
• Service and repair drive motors, compressors, actuators, alternators, adapters, and fuel systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble components
• Follow technical instructions, repair procedures, and safety requirements
• Maintain accurate work and inspection practices
• Keep tools and work areas clean and organized
• Perform other mechanical duties as assigned

Position Summary

We are seeking a mechanically skilled Mechanic to join an FAA-approved repair station in Tulsa. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced aircraft mechanic or a highly mechanically inclined automotive mechanic looking to transition into the aerospace industry. The right candidate will have strong mechanical skills, the ability to diagnose and repair equipment, and a willingness to learn. Training is available for candidates with solid automotive or mechanical experience who are interested in developing their aircraft repair skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Additional Qualifications

• Previous aircraft engine experience strongly preferred
• Automotive, diesel, industrial, heavy equipment, or other mechanical experience may be considered
• Experience rebuilding or overhauling engines is a plus
• Strong ability to diagnose mechanical problems
• Comfortable learning aircraft-specific systems and procedures
• Must provide and maintain your own tools
• FAA drug testing is required for employment
• Ability to work safely around aircraft, engines, fuel systems, and mechanical equipment
• Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic
