Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with QuickBooks and bookkeeping.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in small business ownership or advising the small business community.
• Must complete annual ethics trainings offered by the Small Business Development Center network.
• Experience working with the diverse needs of the college community.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, counseling, training, and referrals to prospective and existing entrepreneurs in areas such as bookkeeping, accounting systems, financial projections, business planning, financial management, and related topics.
• Designs, facilitates, and leads workshops on QuickBooks and small business financial management; develops informational seminars and customized trainings for local needs.
• Ensures timely reporting of each counseling session with notes, time, outcomes, and economic impact in the client management system.
• Advocates and liaises between clients and governmental or financial institutions as needed.
• Participates in staff meetings, community partner meetings, trainings, and conferences.
