Job summary

Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA seeks a Business Consultant to deliver one-on-one and group coaching to small businesses across Bulloch and neighboring counties. You will assess business plans, finances, operations, and market feasibility while connecting clients with appropriate resources.

This exempt, full-time role requires a Bachelor's in business and 3+ years of experience; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field.
Three (3) or more years of related work experience.
Master's Degree in a business-related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with private sector businesses and other economic development units to further growth.
Analyze situations, make recommendations and educate clients on business plans, market feasibility, financial viability, operations management, and legal structures.
Direct clients to other appropriate sources of business information and assistance.
Develop and deliver business training programs responsive to needs of the business community.
Perform administrative responsibilities including documenting activities.
Assist in office operation to ensure client service and timely response to inquiries.
Serve as an advocate of business development, expansion and retention in the area.
Engage in public relations activities such as speeches and presentations.
Participate in sponsorship acquisition strategies in support of the area office and state goals.
