Responsibilities

• Represents the bank in developing new deposit, loan, and fee income with small business clients.
• Manages relationships with small business banking clients through outreach and growth.
• Establishes referral networks with COIs like real estate agents, CPAs, attorneys.
• Builds relationships with other bank lines and vendors to cross-sell products.
• Collaborates with other lines of business to meet client needs.
• Provides quality customer service and resolves problems; maintains client communications.
• Develops knowledge of bank policies and guidelines for their line.
• Refers lending opportunities to Business Banking, Middle Market, and others.
• Participates in civic/community activities to promote products and services.
• Serves on CRA board or committee to strengthen communities and CRA objectives.
• Interviews loan applicants, completes applications, and gathers documentation to assess financials.
• Educates the borrower on business line processes and expectations.

Job description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Represents the bank in conducting active prospect and customer business development activities with small business clients (-$5MM in revenue size) designed to generate new deposit, loan, treasury and other fee income and related business for the line of business while meeting any of the Bank's assigned and/or prospective business customers' needs.
• Manages relationships with small business banking clients through a consistent process of outreach, nurturing and growth.
• Establishes strong referral network and relationships with real estate agents, brokers, CPA's, accountants, attorneys, and other Centers of Influence (COI's).
• Develops strong professional relationships with other Bank department associates as well as supplemental business lines and vendors to cross sell and generate appropriate business product and service recommendations to help clients meet their goals and expand client relationships.
• Actively collaborates with other lines of business to ensure the clients specific needs are met.
• Provides quality customer service to existing customers and accounts through problem resolution and maintains consistent communications with clients through onsite visits and outbound calls.
• Develops and maintains intimate knowledge of the policies, Bank guidelines for their business line.
• Refers lending opportunities to Business Banking and Middle Market, treasury management, Highland Capital, FiServ and ADP, residential mortgage, and deposit relationships to bank partners.
• Participates in civic and community activities to promote the Bank's diverse products and services, maintain professional network relationships and strengthen community ties.
• Serves on CRA Board or committee to help strengthen communities and meet Bank's CRA objectives.
• Interview loan applicants, completing applications and gathering required documentation in order to have a full understanding of the customer's financial picture.
• Educates the borrower on business line process, structure, and set expectations.
