Job summary

AmerCable in El Dorado, AR is seeking a Cabler Operator to support efficient assembly operations, producing quality finished goods that meet customer requirements and delivery expectations.

You will safely operate production equipment, handle materials, monitor quality, and collaborate with team members to maintain productivity and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Able to lift, move, and handle materials up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience operating mobile equipment and computer systems preferred.
  • Willing to complete ISO 9000 training.
  • Willing to work rotating eight-hour shifts, five days per week, with overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Twist insulated conductors and strands and tape as per diameter and quality standards.
  • Operate and support production equipment following work instructions and SOPs.
  • Monitor product quality and uphold quality standards across the process.
  • Transport, store, restock, and load materials within the department using mobile equipment.
  • Follow department visual controls and timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and department performance.
  • Monitor machine/operator efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Produce output according to production requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to safety standards and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
  • Support delivery of quality products meeting customer specs and on-time delivery.

Summary

The Cabler Operator plays a critical role in supporting efficient assembly operations by producing quality finished goods that meet customer requirements and delivery expectations. This position contributes to operational success by safely operating production equipment, handling materials, maintaining productivity targets, and ensuring products are manufactured to established quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Twist insulated conductors and strands together and tape conductors and strands in accordance with established diameter and quality standards.
  • Operate and support production equipment following work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor product quality and take an active role in maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Operate mobile equipment to transport, store, restock, and load materials within the department.
  • Follow all department visual controls and production timelines to support on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiency and departmental performance.
  • Monitor machine and operator efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Produce scheduled output in accordance with production requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety standards and safe work practices.
  • Adhere to the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards.
  • Consistently support the delivery of quality products that meet customer specifications and on-time delivery expectations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience or ability to operate mobile equipment and computer systems.
  • Ability to complete required training, including ISO 9000 principles.
  • Willingness to work rotating eight-hour shifts, five days per week, and overtime as business needs require.
