Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center in Cave Creek, AZ is seeking a Small Animal Veterinarian to join our growing, collaborative team. You’ll practice high-quality medicine with modern equipment and a supportive staff, while building lasting client relationships.

We offer a four-day work week, a base salary of $115,000–$140,000 depending on experience, and up to a $10,000 signing bonus, plus comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD license in AZ or eligibility.
• Comfort with general medicine and routine surgery.
• Strong communication and client-focused care.

• Willingness to mentor new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care including exams, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
• Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and adjust scope per interests.
• Deliver preventive care such as wellness exams, vaccines, parasite prevention, nutrition guidance.
• Interpret diagnostics including labs, digital radiography, and ultrasound.
• Communicate care plans clearly with clients and collaborate with staff.
• Support a positive, team-oriented clinic culture.

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive care including exams, diagnostics, and treatment planning
• Perform routine soft tissue surgeries (spays, neuters, mass removals), with the flexibility to incorporate additional surgeries based on your interests.
• Deliver preventive care (wellness exams, vaccines, parasite prevention, nutrition guidance)
• Interpret diagnostics (lab work, digital radiography, ultrasound)
• Communicate clearly with clients about care plans and next steps
• Collaborate with a strong team of technicians and support staff
• Help foster a positive, team-oriented clinic culture
