A leading company in veterinary services is seeking a dedicated Small Animal Surgery Support and OR Cleaner to maintain surgical cleanliness and assist in the Oracle environment. This full-time role involves supporting surgical preparations, cleaning protocols, and ensuring a sterile environment for pets. Join the innovative veterinary team to contribute to training the next generation of veterinarians while serving the community's animals.
Under supervision of the Small Animal Surgery Supervisor, clean, disinfect, sanitize and stock assigned areas according to established protocols; maintain supply inventory and equipment; remove trash and biohazard waste. Responsible for preparation and cleaning of operating rooms (OR's) and related areas. During surgery, open surgery packs and instruments at surgeon's requests. Following procedures, remove instruments, turn off equipment and clean contaminated operating rooms.
RECRUITMENT PERIOD ONE MONTH: Applicants will be screened after two weeks; and then on a weekly basis.The position can be filled prior to the apply by date.

The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) is a unit that provides clinical case material in support of the teaching programs throughout the School of Veterinary Medicine on a 24-hour basis. Its primary objectives are to train professional (veterinary) students, graduate clinical students (interns and residents), and graduate academic students; to provide veterinary services to the public; to serve as a referral center for practicing veterinarians, and to advance veterinary medical knowledge.

Work under Medical Surveillance procedures and review in accordance with Federal and State Laws and Regulations and University Policy. Work with or around areas with sick animals and regular exposure to zoonotic disease, anesthetic gases, cleaning chemicals and intermittent exposure to radioactive patients. Work in high traffic areas, confined, or small spaces, noisy environments and tolerate unpleasant odors. No eating or drinking in surgery, treatment or procedure rooms and some other areas of the hospital. Work occasional overtime and various hours on short notice (including covering staff shortages and holiday shifts). Work in other VMTH/VM II/CCAH related areas on an as needed basis.
