Job summary

Iowa State University in Ames, IA seeks a clinical or tenure track faculty member in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. The successful candidate will provide clinical service and teaching at LVMC, supervise interns/residents, and engage in scholarly activities.

Qualifications include a DVM and ACVECC/ECVECC residency (or in final year), with eligibility for Iowa licensure. Start date June 1, 2027; full-time, 12-month period, on campus.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Completion of an ACVECC or ECVECC residency is expected or candidate in final year.
• Eligible for Iowa veterinary license before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical service and teaching in Small Animal ECC at LVMC.
• Supervise interns and residents; instruct clinical-year students.
• Participate in weekly resident boards review and journal clubs.
• Contribute to research, scholarship and didactic teaching.
