Job summary

Vident Asset Management, a specialized exposure and solutions provider, seeks a Portfolio Analyst/Trader to support the SMA business and assist Portfolio Managers with research, optimization, and trading.

You will collaborate across the team, manage client reports, and contribute to performance analysis and onboarding of new clients. The role emphasizes accuracy, initiative, and proactive communication within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in the investment management field.
• Interest in pursuing investment designations and/or FINRA exams such as CFA, FRM, or Series 65.
• Hard-working and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated by learning about new technology and financial techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of client portfolios including account setup, daily reconciliation, model creation and maintenance, portfolio optimization, tax loss harvesting, and portfolio trading.
• Execute trades approved or instructed by Portfolio Managers or senior team members.
• Enhance and support the product trade workflow and portfolio monitoring functions.
• Monitor index changes and curate buy lists for corporate actions.
• Support client requests from proposal generation to client reporting; perform regular reporting.
