Position Summary

This position requires the individual to water houses using chlorine and various chemicals. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment. Carry and drag the hose to each house.

Job Description

This position performs any/all the following task:

• Maintain adequate water pressure
• Hang hoses when not in use
• Able to wash hoses once done using them and when entering another mushroom house
• Able to use proper PPE and adequate use of chemicals (use boots, long sleeve shirt, and long pants adequate for the work area).
• Able to use chemicals with signal words and never use any containers without proper labeling.
• Use test strips and record concentration and follow all established procedures.
• Sweep empty grow areas and carry boxes of new substrate (logs)
• Assist in general growing tasks as needed, and able to document name and number of gallons used.

• Experience in watering for mushrooms.

Resumen Del Puesto

Este puesto requiere regar las salas de cultivo utilizando cloro y diversos productos químicos. Es obligatorio utilizar equipo de protección personal (EPP). Se debe transportar y arrastrar la manguera hasta cada sala.

Descripción Del Puesto

Este puesto conlleva la realización de todas o algunas de las siguientes tareas:

• Mantener una presión de agua adecuada.
• Colgar las mangueras cuando no estén en uso.
• Lavar las mangueras después de usarlas y al pasar a otra sala de cultivo de hongos.
• Utilizar correctamente el EPP y los productos químicos (usar botas, camisa de manga larga y pantalones largos adecuados para el área de trabajo).
• Manipular productos químicos con las indicaciones de advertencia correspondientes y no utilizar nunca recipientes sin el etiquetado adecuado.
• Utilizar tiras reactivas, registrar la concentración y seguir todos los procedimientos establecidos.
• Barrer las áreas de cultivo vacías y transportar cajas de sustrato nuevo (troncos).
• Colaborar en tareas generales de cultivo según sea necesario y registrar el nombre y la cantidad de galones utilizados.
