Job summary

Scharmach Automotive Group’s Seattle MINI shop in Seattle, WA is looking for an experienced automotive technician to grow with the MINI brand. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on MINI vehicles using factory diagnostic tools and software, and perform maintenance and repairs to MINI/BMW Group specifications.

The role offers base+commission with a salary range from $50,000 to $190,000 per year, with opportunities for factory training and advancement within the Scharmach

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or ASE certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Proficient with automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on MINI vehicles using factory diagnostic tools and software.
• Perform maintenance such as oil services, brakes, tire rotations, and fluid services.
• Repair or replace major components, including engines, transmissions, and suspension, to MINI/BMW Group specifications.
• Record video multipoint inspections following our department process.
• Document all work clearly, including diagnostic findings, repairs completed, and parts used.
• Communicate with service advisors about findings, repair timelines, and costs.
• Follow all safety and environmental standards.
• Keep current on MINI factory training and certifications.
