Job summary

Scharmach Automotive Group in Seattle, WA is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. You will work with the service team to deliver high-quality repairs safely and efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of automotive repair experience, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and a valid WA driver's license. ASE preferred.

  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid flushes.
  • Repair or replace engines, transmissions, and suspension components.
  • Document services performed, including diagnostic findings, repairs, and parts used.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental standards in the workplace.
  • Communicate repair timelines and costs to customers and service advisors.

Job DetailsJob Location: Seattle MINI - Seattle, WA 98125Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeSalary Range: $50,000.00 - $200,000.00 Base+Commission/year

As an Automotive Technician at Scharmach Automotive Group, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. You will work closely with the service team to provide excellent customer service by delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance in a timely manner.

Pay range is $50,000 to $200,000 a year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Adhere to department processes for video electronic Multipoint Inspections.
  • Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid flushes.
  • Repair or replace parts, such as engines, transmissions, and suspension components, according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Document all services performed, including diagnostic findings, repairs completed, and parts used.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental standards in the workplace.
  • Stay updated on technical training and certifications for various vehicle makes and models.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with service advisors and customers about vehicle issues, repair timelines, and costs.
QualificationsQualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or ASE certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Proficient with automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
