The Standard Missile 6 program has an immediate need for a Financial professional to join our team as a Principal Program Cost Controls Specialist. The SM-6 program is a part of the Navel Shipboard Portfolio within Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) Production. The SM-6 program team is responsible for multiple, large DOD Prime production contracts.
What You Will Do
Aligning with Program Management, Contracts, and Integrated Product Team’s to prepare budgets and baseline new programs in accordance with Raytheon policies.
Preparing accurate bookings, sales, material, staffing and profit forecasts.
Generation of weekly/monthly labor and material financial reports.
Preparing, analyzing and reviewing EACs with appropriate management levels.
Proposal cost and price estimating.
Preparing Gate 5 Budgets, baselines and monitoring progress and report variances.
Supporting contracts by providing information for customer inquiries such as program actuals or expenditure profiles.
Participating in the control of costs and schedules on contracts.
Candidate must be willing to communicate and ask questions and work with other functional organizations to accomplish team goals.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic
Typically requires 5+ years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3+ years prior relevant experience
Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse and/or PRISM.
Experience with Business Planning Systems.
Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Qualifications We Prefer
EVMS (Earned Value) certification.
Understanding of Raytheon financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Ability to care for time and prioritize workload.
Ability to work through problems with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize concurrent requirements and accommodate numerous stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal skills including demonstrated ability to succinctly present complex information.
Knowledge of key financial systems and tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
Deep critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Must be flexible and able to care for a wide range of work assignments.
After 6 months the ability to work with minimal direct supervision as well as part of a team, accountability and self-inspired.
