Job summary

AMD is seeking an SLT Engineer to join its System Level Test team in Austin, TX. You will help bring next-generation AMD processors from early silicon bring-up through high-volume manufacturing, developing SLT test solutions, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional groups to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.

This role offers visibility into how AMD’s latest CPU technologies transition from development to production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Engineering) preferred.
Advanced degree is a plus.
Curious, hands-on engineer with a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
Ability to drive technical decisions independently while collaborating with global teams.
Experience with data analytics and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

Develop, debug, and optimize SLT test programs for AMD processors.
Support new product bring-up, characterization, and test margin analysis.
Analyze data to identify opportunities for yield, quality, test coverage, and test time improvements.
Investigate and resolve silicon, firmware, design, and manufacturing issues.
Partner with design, diagnostics, foundry, supply chain, and engineering teams to drive product readiness.
Improve test methodologies, automation, and engineering tools to increase operational efficiency.
