Job summary

TRISTAR, an SBA-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned company, is seeking a skilled SLQ-32 PIT Engineering Technician to support refurbishment, upgrade, and maintenance for shelters tied to SLQ-32 radar systems at NSWC Crane.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, capable of working independently in a hands-on environment, and possess a U.S. citizenship, security clearance eligibility, and relevant certifications. This on-site role supports readiness and lifecycle sustainment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of technician experience with the SLQ-32 radar.
• Solder certification is required.
• Fiber optic certification is required.
• Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Bachelor's degree or higher (military experience may substitute).

Responsibilities

• System set-up and teardown.
• System-level PIT testing.
• PIT report generation.
• (V)6 system integration with the (V)7.
• Support other PIT/Depot tasks as needed.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SLQ-32 PIT Engineering Technician. The Engineering Technician will support refurbishment, upgrade, and maintenance efforts for shelters associated with SLQ-32 radar systems within the Maritime Expeditionary Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This role requires a mechanically inclined, highly motivated individual capable of working independently in a hands-on technical environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills who can contribute to system readiness and equipment lifecycle sustainment.

Key Responsibilities

• System set-up and teardown
• System level PIT testing
• PIT report generation
• (V)6 system integration with the (V)7
• Support other PIT/Depot tasking as needed

Requirements

• Must be a U.S Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Must have, at minimum, 5 years of technician experience with the SLQ-32 radar system
• Solder Certification
• Fiber Optic Certification
• Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams
• Bachelor's degree or higher, with ability to substitute military experience for education
