Job summary

Elderwood at Lancaster is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents’ communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders within a rehabilitation setting.

You will collaborate with physicians, nursing, and therapy colleagues to maximize outcomes and quality of life, while delivering individualized plans and timely documentation for ongoing care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CPR/BLS credential current.
• ASHA Clinical Competence Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Provide speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing therapy services.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers.

Position Overview:

• As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that address communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• You will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, residents, and families to maximize functional outcomes and improve quality of life.
• Our SLPs are trusted clinical leaders who play a critical role in helping residents regain independence and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and establish individualized treatment plans
• Provide speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing therapy services
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications

• M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school required.
• State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association preferred.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
• Current, valid CPR/BLS credential.
• Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required.
• Verification of qualifications by the State Department of Health
• Rehabilitation Therapies (license number/certification number) required.
• Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.

• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
