We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team!

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Massachusetts, located in New Bedford, MA, is a 90-bed Critical Care Hospital, providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care services for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Provide and direct Speech-Language Pathologist services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication. Work under physician’s orders.

Required Skills

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Speech Therapist in the state of employment.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP or in the process of completing Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Member of American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• One (1) year of experience preferred. Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
