Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a per diem opportunity performing home health visits. This office services adult and geriatric patients in homes throughout Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson counties.

As a home care Speech Language Pathologist, SLP, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive necessary medical care while remaining at home.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities:

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic areas.
• Perform evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
• Develop treatment plans based on evaluations, physician’s orders, and goals.
• Assess and revise speech therapy care plans regularly and collaborate with BAYADA clinicians in multidisciplinary care planning.
• Educate and instruct patients and their families in rehabilitative care to promote health, safety, and independence.
• Document observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately using a touch pad tablet.

Qualifications:

• Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in South Carolina.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or equivalent educational and work experience, with eligibility to take the ASHA certification exam.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
