Job summary

Adoration Home Health is seeking a committed Speech Language Pathologist to join our Rome, GA team. This full-time role focuses on one-on-one patient care, evaluating and treating speech and language disorders in the home setting.

You will teach sound production, voice improvement, and alternative communication methods such as sign language, while coordinating with the care team and documenting progress according to policy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as an SLP.
• Current, unrestricted state licenciae as an SLP.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' speech or language difficulties and determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) when speech is limited.
• Educate and guide healthcare team, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises.
• Document progress and complete visit notes per agency policy.

Coverage area: Floyd & Gordon Counties

Schedule: Full-Time, Mon - Fri visits

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
