Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Georgia.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' levels of speech or language difficulty.
• Teach patients sound production and voice improvement techniques.
• Instruct alternative communication methods to non-verbal patients.
• Guide team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises.

Location and Schedule

Office Location: Cartersville

Coverage area: Bartow, Paulding, and Polk Counties

Schedule: Full Time, Mon - Fri visits

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state in which you practice
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations
