Job summary

Adoration Home Health in Martinsville, VA is seeking a passionate Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This PRN role focuses on patient-centered care in a supportive environment where your skills and empathy shine.

You will evaluate speech and language needs, teach therapy techniques, and guide families and healthcare teams. Requirements include a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, a state license, and BLS/CPR certification. Salary range offered is $55–$65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy
