Job summary

Blaire House of Worcester is seeking an energetic Speech Language Pathologist to uphold our high standards for senior care at our 75-bed facility in Worcester, MA. The role offers full-time, part-time, or per-diem schedules, with responsibilities including evaluation, planning and direct treatment of patients, and adherence to infection control and safety programs.

Qualifications include Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology and at least one year of clinical experience; English

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology. English reading/writing ability. Follow written and oral directions.
• Minimum of one year clinical experience with the same age/population mix as the facility.
• Knowledge of infection control and rehabilitative medicine practice.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician.
• Evaluate, plan, direct and treat all patients referred to speech/language.
• Pathology treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury.
• Assist patients to obtain maximum performance and function in society within their disability.
• Participates in infection control, safety and educational programs.

Job Summary

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology in the State of Massachusetts.Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of one year clinical experience serving the same age/population mix as served by this facility.
• Knowledge of principals and practice of speech pathology.
• Performance of technical skills related to speech pathology.
• Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique and related impact on rehabilitative medicine practice and equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge.
