Job summary

Elderwood is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. You will evaluate and implement treatment plans to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing, working with residents, families, and a multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

  • MA or MS in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school
  • State licensure to practice as an SLP
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
  • Current, valid CPR/BLS credential
  • Uphold integrity, teamwork, excellence, and reverence per company values
  • Verification of qualifications by the State Department of Health
  • Rehabilitation Therapies license/certification number required
  • English language proficiency at intermediate level

Responsibilities

SLP: Speech-Language Pathologist:

  • Evaluate residents and establish individualized treatment plans

Qualifications

SLP: Speech-Language Pathologist:

  • M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school required.
  • State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
  • Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
  • Current, valid CPR/BLS credential.
  • Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required.
  • Verification of qualifications by the State Department of Health
  • Rehabilitation Therapies (license number/certification number) required.
  • Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.

  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
