Job summary

Recover-Care Healthcare seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders, formulating individualized treatment programs in a SNF setting.

You will work under physician direction to implement care plans, screen residents, and develop rehabilitation strategies to restore communication and swallowing functions. Strong documentation and collaboration with families are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate with Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology.
• State licensure as a speech-language pathologist.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Under physician direction, provide direct patient treatment per plan of care.
• Screen residents and develop appropriate care plans.
• Plan and conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative ability.
• Administer, score, and interpret hearing and speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to practice new skills.
• Complete forms and documents per policy and regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Devises tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
