Job summary

Lane ESD seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to design and implement language programs for eligible students across rural districts. You will assess needs, design interventions, and train staff in home and school settings, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, Oregon licensure with appropriate endorsement, and preferred ASHA CCC-SLP. Experience with moderate/severe disabilities and AAC is a plus; on-site work in Lane County.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders.
  • Oregon license with Speech Impaired or Communications Disorder Endorsement or SLP licensure.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP (CCC-Speech) preferred.
  • Experience with students with moderate/severe disabilities preferred.
  • Experience with augmentative communication systems preferred.
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Complete formal and informal assessment of students' speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Design and implement speech/language programs for students in school, home, and community environments.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to determine interventions.
  • Provide consultation and training to staff on program implementation and data collection.
  • Assist in assessment of AAC components, strategies, and techniques.
  • Assist with oral peripheral exams/feeding evaluations as needed.
  • Develop and program augmentative communication language systems and materials.
  • Maintain confidential assessment and program records per policy and regulations.
  • Submit required documentation for Medicaid or other billing as required.
  • Attend Special Education and other staff meetings as requested.
