Job summary

National HealthCare Corporation's NHC HomeCare Dickson is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its team. The SLP will supervise the Communication Disorders Service Department and provide evaluations and therapy per physician orders, developing appropriate treatment plans for patients.

The role requires a master’s degree in Speech Pathology, CCC-SP or CFY eligibility, and state licensure where work occurs, with involvement in in‑service training and interdisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an approved curriculum in Speech Pathology.
• CCC-SP certification or CFY eligibility.
• Must be licensed in the state where work will occur.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the Communication Disorders Service Department.
• Provides evaluations and therapy as ordered by the referring physician and recommends a treatment program.
• Evaluates, plans, and carries out therapy programs with goals and periodic re-evaluations.
• Participates in the in‑service training program for HomeCare personnel.
• Consults with HomeCare staff concerning communication problems of patients not receiving speech pathology services.
