Speech Therapist Pathologist Per Diem Visits in Iowa City

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You Will:

• Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in the home or facility
• Participate in developing and reviewing the Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care
• Use professional skills to assess and treat speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders
• Administer and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments, including audiologic screening
• Observe, record, and report changes in patient condition and response to treatment
• Provide instruction and training on alternative communication systems when appropriate
• Counsel and instruct patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Maintain and submit documentation as required, including evaluations, visits, and care plans
• Participate in care coordination and discharge planning
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards
• Attend staff development and continuing education programs

Required Experience/Skills:

• Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA)
• Minimum six months experience as a speech therapist/pathologist
• Home Health experience is a plus
• Current and unrestricted license
• CPR certification
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Pay Range:

• $49.00 - $69.00 per visit/unit
• $77,200 - $106,200 per year base pay
