Job summary
US Healthcare Consulting Holdings LLC seeks a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in Florence, Alabama. The role focuses on evaluating and treating residents with communication and swallowing disorders, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to maximize independence.
Qualifications include an accredited SLP program and Alabama license; CCC-SLP is preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Current or eligible Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
- Geriatric/long-term care experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for resident-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based speech and swallowing therapy.
- Complete evaluations, progress notes, and clinical documentation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment plans and techniques.
- Collaborate with nursing, dietary, OT, PT and other clinicians.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
- Maintain regulatory compliance.
