Job summary

LEARN Academy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for an Evaluation Only role in Arizona. The position offers flexible hours (full-time or part-time), with competitive W2 hourly pay and DOE rates.

You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, support students with communication needs, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. Join a nationwide special education provider dedicated to evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• AZ licensure or eligible for licensure required.
• Praxis exam passed or eligible for licensure.
• Experience in school-based settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of students' communication abilities.
• Develop and implement IEP-aligned speech-language intervention plans.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Provide trainings to staff on evidence-based practices in SLT.
• Mentor and supervise assistants or students in SLT.
• Participate in professional development activities.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' communication abilities in areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language.


• Develop and implement speech and language therapy intervention plans that align with students' IEP goals and educational needs.


• Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.


• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based speech and language therapy.


• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support student access to the curriculum.


• Collaborate with the special education team to ensure occupational speech and language therapy services align with the least restrictive environment (LRE) principle.


• Mentor and/or supervise assistants or students in the speech and language therapy community.


• Provide trainings to instructional and related service staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program


• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology


• Maintain license per ASHA requirements


• Current AZ licensure or willing to obtain


• Current AZ DOE certification or willing to obtain


• Current AZ IVP Fingerprint card or willing to obtain
