Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock is seeking a Slot Technician I to diagnose and repair slot machines, with knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of gaming devices. You will provide guidance to less experienced technicians and perform installation, calibration, and preventative maintenance on casino floor devices.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and prior experience in slot operations or gaming.

Qualifications

• Must have two (2) or more years' experience in the Gaming Industry or an equivalent customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to a variety of customer service related issues.
• Repair and maintenance of component level electronic circuitry in gaming devices.
• Install and removal of gaming devices.
• Perform day to day preventative maintenance; troubleshoot ticket-in ticket-out and coin machines; perform hopper tests; clear coin jams and bill validator jams.
• Assist in game conversions and firmware upgrades.
• Investigate and verify any ticket issues.
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
• Maintain and calibrate currency validators; execute machine moves, game conversions, installations, and floor upgrade of current ticket-in ticket out products.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Slot Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance; possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair; provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The Slot Technician I will analyze and respond to a variety of customer service related issues.
• Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of component level electronic circuitry in gaming devices.
• Responsible for the installation and removal of gaming devices.
• Day to day preventative maintenance; troubleshoots ticket-in ticket-out and coin machines; performs hopper tests; clears coin jams and bill validator jams.
• Assists in game conversions and firmware upgrades.
• Investigates and verifies any ticket issues.
• Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
• Maintains and calibrates currency validators, executes machine moves, game conversions, installations, and floor upgrade of current ticket-in ticket out products.
• Responsible to investigate device malfunctions of various gaming devices and clears coin bill and coin jams.
• Performs the day to day repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines.
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
• Perform work regularly, predictably and in a professional manner.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Perform work regularly and adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have good communications skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have electronic background or minimum two-year experience in slot operations.
• Must have two (2) or more years' experience in the Gaming Industry or an equivalent customer service environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
• Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
