Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a slot-machine technician to perform routine maintenance and repair on gaming machines and related hardware. The role involves working under supervision, diagnosing faults, and learning through on-the-job training.

Candidates should have a strong grasp of mechanics, electronics, and electrical functions of gaming devices, plus experience or training in slot repair. Ability to use hand tools and stay physically capable for long shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and electrical functions of gaming machines.
• One year of experience in slots or related field, or graduate from slot repair school strongly preferred.
• Able to use hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, and crouch while repairing gaming machines.
• Must be able to push and pull machines and move weights up to 80 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses/certifications.

• Perform immediate, periodic, and overhaul maintenance on gaming machines, equipment, and hardware.
• Repair and diagnose machine faults.
• Isolate electronic faults at board level and refer to senior level slot technician.
• Read, understand, and accurately apply information contained within repair manuals and other equipment-related materials.
• Carry and effectively communicate by two-way radio.
• Maintain a working knowledge of new slot products/equipment.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in slots or a related field or graduate from slot repair school or similar course of study strongly preferred.
