Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a slot technician to perform routine and overhaul maintenance on gaming machines and equipment. The role requires troubleshooting faults, reading repair manuals, and communicating clearly via radio while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new slot products.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of slots experience or a slot repair school background, plus the ability to lift up to 80 pounds and use hand and power tools. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanics, electronics and electrical functions of gaming machines.
• One year of experience in slots or graduate from slot repair school strongly preferred.
• Able to work with hand tools and power tools.
• Able to stand and walk for duration of shift.
• Able to stoop, kneel, and crouch while repairing gaming machines.
• Able to push and pull machines and move weights up to 80 pounds.
• Must obtain/maintain any necessary licenses/certifications.

Job Description

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on gaming machines, equipment, and hardware under supervision and continued on-the-job training. Perform common floor calls without supervision and works towards competency and proficiency.
• Perform immediate, periodic, and overhaul maintenance on gaming machines, equipment, and hardware.
• Repair and diagnose machine faults.
• Isolate electronic faults at board level and refer to senior level slot technician.
• Read, understand, and accurately apply information contained within repair manuals and other equipment-related materials.
• Carry and effectively communicate by two-way radio.
• Maintain a working knowledge of new slot products/equipment.
